Acceptance of terms
By installing or using ScrollTax, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Use of the app
ScrollTax is provided for personal, lawful use. You agree not to reverse engineer, redistribute, exploit, or misuse the app or any part of it.
Screen Time enforcement
ScrollTax uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls APIs to apply app restrictions based on your budget. Enforcement depends on iOS behavior and system configuration. ScrollTax cannot guarantee uninterrupted locking if Screen Time is disabled, reset, bypassed, or altered at the OS level.
Entitlements and permissions
Core locking features require Apple's approved Family Controls entitlement (com.apple.developer.family-controls) and your explicit on-device authorization. If entitlement approval status changes, authorization is denied/revoked, or required iOS settings change, some features may be unavailable or degraded.
Health data permissions
Certain earn sources require HealthKit permissions (such as step count and daylight time). You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings › Health › Data Access. Revoking access may reduce or disable related earn features.
No medical or behavioral guarantee
ScrollTax is a productivity and self-regulation tool, not a medical device or treatment. We do not guarantee specific habit, wellness, or behavioral outcomes.
Availability and updates
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time, including to comply with platform policy, legal requirements, or technical constraints.
No warranty
ScrollTax is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScrollTax and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, usage time, or business interruption arising from use of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms. Continued use of ScrollTax after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
